The Parents’ Society committee have come to the decision that as most parents have now found schools for their children following the closure of Westbrook House, the use of this website as a means of communication is no longer required.
We have decided to run the website for a little longer, but primarily as a way of letting parents know what the committee have planned with the funds which we still have.
On this subject, the Parents’ Society committee members have unanimously agreed that they would like use the remains of the funds raised to organise a farewell get together and party for the children of Westbrook House who would have returned to the school in September.
The party will take the form of a daytrip and be a fun way for all of the children to say goodbye to their friends. The committee have some ideas of their own but welcome any other reasonable suggestions from parents.
We are still in the planning stages of the party so don’t know any other details at the moment but the date has been set for the 27th September 2008. All families will by then have returned from their summer holidays, Year 6 students will have sat the Kent test and hopefully the children will have settled into their new schools.
So please keep this date free and we will keep you all informed as soon as a final decision for the venue of the party has been made.
